Perfect Image Solutions Enhanced with Azelaic Acid & Retinol
Description: Our minoxidil products are scientifically formulated to penetrate the scalp for proper stimulation of the hair follicles, promoting hair growth in the safest and most effective method possible. Minoxidil is the only FDA approved topical treatment for male pattern baldness (Androgenetic Alopecia). Clinical studies have shown minoxidil displays a dose-dependent effect. The higher 15% (150mg/mL) concentration of minoxidil, increases the response time activity, enhancing the recruiting ability of excess miniaturized follicles, not attainable from lower concentrated minoxidil products. This ultimately leads to a faster and fuller regrowth, without disrupting the aesthetics of the hair. Although the actual mechanism in which minoxidil works is uncertain, it still remains as the best clinically proven solution to effectively treat androgenetic alopecia. Our topical has also shown to be effective in treating hair loss on the entire scalp including the frontal lateral areas, while Rogaine® has only shown to be effective on the crown (vertex) area.
Azelaic Acid: Has been proven to be a strong inhibitor of the enzyme 5-AR(5-Alpha Reductase Inhibitor Type 1). DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) is a by-product of testosterone, the male hormone. The scalp produces an enzyme known as 5-AR. When 5-AR reacts with testosterone, it is converted into DHT, which then binds to receptor sites on the scalp and follicle sending false signals to the functioning cells responsible for proper hair growth. This is the primary reason for damaged, shrunken follicles characteristic of MPB. Most women do not have a high enough level of testosterone to convert into DHT, while 75% of men will suffer the worst consequences of baldness brought on by DHT. Azelaic acid also has the ability to normalize improper growth of skin cells lining the hair follicle, leading to a reduction in the amount of hair shed on the scalp.
Retinol: Has shown to increase the absorption and effectiveness of minoxidil. Dermatologists found that coupling Retinol (Vitamin A Derivative) with minoxidil produced significantly better results than minoxidil alone. The Retinol controls proper functioning of the sebaceous glands. The sebaceous glands produce sebum containing DHT, which is reabsorbed into the hair follicle causing further damage. Proper moderation of the sebaceous glands will regulate scalp DHT levels. Retinol and Minoxidil is often prescribed together by dermatologists as they work well in combination.
